Eggette House uses milk tea ice cubes so that when it melts it doesn’t dilute your drink! Worth a Try? Kam Do Bakery does a pretty good version, but they have since stopped their breakfast service. There’s such a rich and silky smooth taste to the milk tea that other places can’t seem to replicate. The Milk Tea at Eggette House is the closest to authentic HK Milk Tea I can find outside of Vancouver. I think it’s worth going to the Nightmarket for! The Charcoal Salted Egg one features a salted egg yolk cream filling that is so rich and decadent. The saltiness of the bacon works really well with the sweetness of the egg batter. The Bacon and Cheese one is great for all the savoury lovers because there’s so much cheesy goodness. The Portuguese Egg Tart features a crispy exterior with the creamiest, eggy flan interior. Each and every ‘bubble’ of the waffle is stuffed with filling. The thing I love most about Eggette House is that they do not skimp on the fillings. Do note, the Charcoal one is only available at the Richmond Night Market. I usually get this combo, but today I was feeling fancy so I went with their signature Portuguese Egg Tart Bubble Waffl e, Bacon and Cheese Bubble Waffle, and Charcoal Salted Egg Bubble Waffle. They have a really great ‘Classic Combo’ deal which is one original bubble waffle with their house special milk tea for $7.99. In addition to their original flavour they also have a huge variety of sweet and savoury flavours to choose from. You may know them as the shop that uses Dyson hairdryers to cool down their waffles, and let me just say their waffles deserve that luxury! Eggette House has the most authentic egg waffles I have had outside of Hong Kong. The best spot for this classic treat is definitely at Eggette House. I have such found memories of this delicious egg based waffle from my childhood. Growing up my favourite sweet treat was a bubble waffle (aka 雞蛋仔). ![]()
